Last Batted Out
Last Batted Out
Sometimes I need to know who last batted out...Courtesy runner for pitcher or catcher. This is a speed up rule and it's not speedy to open the scorecard or go back (undo).
Maybe a single note somewhere on scoring screen
like: LBO #12
or: LBO Jon Doe #12
If there is a easy way and I missed let me know...

Re: Last Batted Out
Based on your comments in another thread, you are not going to like the answer, but this is another feature that is in the iOS version right now and will be in the Android version in a future release. On iOS, if you open the Courtesy Runner screen, it shows the last two outs (with option to show last two batted outs as well).
On Android, the scorecard is going to be your best best. We don't know what type of Android device you have, but if it is a tablet, you can also look in the Pitch by Pitch listing which is always visible on the screen and not have to go to the Scorecard.

Re: Last Batted Out
For some of our travel tourneys, the courtesy runner is last out previous inning.
Is there a way to make that an option for the program. The last out now is a rolling
Whoever was out last.
Thanks

That's an odd format. What if the last out previous inning is the current batter?zbop wrote:For some of our travel tourneys, the courtesy runner is last out previous inning.
Re: Last Batted Out
Now I am confused. How could the last out previous inning be the current batter?
Just like other way if last out previous inning is pitcher then second out
Would run.

Re: Last Batted Out
If you are batting 9 in your lineup and currently at the 9th plated batter in this inning. The 8th plated batter (on first) needs a courtesy runner. Your last out previous inning would be the current batter. It's possible.
That's why I said it's an odd format. I've never seen it in fast pitch tourneys.

I9. COURTESY RUNNER: It is NOT MANDATORY with two (2) outs, to use
a courtesy runner for the pitcher and catcher. Teams will have the option
to use a Courtesy runner for the pitcher and catcher at any time during an
inning but must follow all options and rules regarding Courtesy Runners
listed below.
1. Option 1: If a team opts to bat their entire line up, they must use the
last official batter of the previous inning as the Courtesy Runner. The
second choice is to use the second last batter of the previous inning if
the team needs a second courtesy runner that inning (this only occurs
when the pitcher and catcher reach base in the same inning).
a. First Inning Only: In the event that the pitcher or catcher
bat in the first inning of play and need a courtesy runner, they must:
i. Use someone from the bench (not already in the
starting lineup), or
ii. If batting the entire lineup, use the last batter posted
in the starting lineup at the start of that game.
b. If you choose to bat all players in the game in your order one
(1) through twenty (20), you will be allowed free substitution
for the game defensively and all pitching rules will apply. If a
courtesy runner is needed for the pitcher or catcher, the
player making the third out from the previous inning must run
(this rule only applies to teams batting all players). The reentry
status of the courtesy runner for the pitcher or catcher
is not affected by this rule.
c. If a team chooses to bat their entire lineup and a player
cannot continue due to injury, an out will not be recorded
until the lineup is reduced to ten (10) or less players.
Players injured must be crossed off on the lineup and are not
allowed to return during that game.
2. Option 2: If a team opts to bat nine (9) or ten (10) batters, the
courtesy runner must be someone not in the current batting order of
the game. (Example: Starter who is now on the bench or player who
just arrives or someone who has not been in the game at all.) The
exception to this rule is if there are no additional players on the bench;
refer back to Option 1 for Courtesy Runners.
a. RULE: The courtesy runner(s) cannot be the same player
for the pitcher and catcher in the same inning at any time.
