Editing Pitch by Pitch issues

Post by rayboston » Sun Aug 30, 2009 12:30 pm

I had a situation where a player reached first on a pitcher's FC and went to second on the error. But I missed the advanced to second. I was unable to edit the player's advance on the basepaths because the "second base" and "third base" buttons were disabled.

I think this is a bug. Shouldn't I be able to put players on any base I want if i am editing?

Thanks

We do not currently allow changing the outcome of a play, only the way you got to that point. For example, allowing editng of a player from being on first base to being on second base could cause potential problems because what if on the next pitch, you had scored the person as stealing second base? Now that scoring is incorrect as well.

The modifications we allow are changing like a base hit to an error, or changing who made errors... pretty much anything that does not change the "state" of the game.

We will be looking at expanding what can be edited in future releases.
