Can't edit an error to a triple, it only gives hit single

Post by Thompru2 » Thu Apr 19, 2012 8:04 pm

I scored a line drive hit to center field as an error. After the game the decision was made to change it to a triple. When I go to the pitch by pitch to use the edit function, it does not have double or triple as an option, only single.

Can this be fixed, or do I need to do something different?

You can not change an error to a multi base hit. You CAN change a multi base hit to a hit + error, or pure error. In the future, if you have any doubt on a ball, mark it as a hit, and you can change it to an error later.

To fix the issue you have, you have have a couple choices:

1. Edit the stats directly.... just give the batter the triple in stats directly by overriding the stats. You can add a note to the pitch by pitch to say it was a triple.

2. If it was late in the game, you can Undo to that point in the game and rescore from that point

3. Rescore the entire game.
