Pitcher win/loss/save

It may have been addressed previously but if so I cant find it.

Scenario: starting pitcher goes 3 full innings and score is tied 3-3 top of the 4th his team scores 3 runs and new pitcher enters game in bottom of 4th with visiting team now leading 6-3. Reliever completes game and allows only 1 more run which is scored in bottom of the 5th. Visitors win 6-4. If I understand the rule correctly the win goes to the starting pitcher because he is still the in the game until the reliever takes the mound in the bottom of 4th.

Also a save is awarded to the relief pitcher because he took the mound when the lead was 3 runs or less and completed the game.

Just want to make sure I credit the win correctly. Thanks for you help!

Assuming there is no minimum innings pitched requirement, you have it correct.

In MLB, for example, a starting pitcher must go at least 5 IP to qualify for the win. In most youth leagues this wouldnt apply, obviously.

Thanks, you are right its high school jv and there is no inning requirement.

If NFHS rules apply in your state, there is an innings requirement. A starting pitcher must pitch at least four innings of a seven-inning game (or three innings of a mercy-rule shortened game, which must go at least five innings) with his team ahead when he was officially subbed for, in order to be credited with the win. NFHS Rule 9-6-6a.

Varsity plays seven innngs, JV only plays 5

Must not be an NFHS state (or the have some local rule exception for JV). I'd think in a five inning game, 3 innings would qualify the starter for the win, and everything looks right.
