Adding a player not on roster
In a recent doubleheader we had a player not previously with the team. I didn't have him in the roster before the start of the game. When he was entered in the game I couldn't figure out how to sub him in. After the game was over I tried the pitch-by-pitch edit mentioned in ore threads, but his name is not listed as a sub choice. I added him before the se ond game of the DH, and he is listed as a possible sub for that (and subsequent) games. Is there a way to correct this?
Re: Adding a player not on roster
In pitch-by-pitch, go the first entry (game starts), edit starting lineup, add player.
This will add the player for this game, but not add him/her to the team roster. To update the roster with this player:
options -> copy line to roster from that same screen.

Re: Adding a player not on roster
You have to add him to the lineup for the game. During a game, you would use Misc -> Show Starting Lineup, and add the player to the lineup there with Batting = NO, and you can then sub him into the game.
Post game, you would add him to the lineup by going to Game Manager, selecting the game, selecting Pitch by Pitch, tapping Game Starts, tapping Edit next to the Starting Lineup event, then adding the player there with Batting = NO. Then scroll to the right pitch in the game, and add him as a sub.

Re: Adding a player not on roster
Yes this is fixable. Go to pitch-by-pitch editor and edit the starting lineup (first entry of the game.) You can add the player here and mark him as not batting. Then go to the inning when he came in as a sub. You can enter the substitution in the pitch-by-pitch editor, and he should now be an available substitute.
While in the starting line-up section, you can also do a copy lineup to roster if you want to add that player to the team's master roster for future games.
