Game list in Scorecast
Game list in Scorecast
I've noticed since the last update that the game list on the iScorecast web page doesn't update till the game either begins or I run the iScorecast Synchronize. In other words, after I create a game it won't show up on my list of scorecast games. Not normally a big deal if you immediately start the game after creation but I enter my game the night before so I can get the url to embed below the live web cast of the game.
Re: Game list in Scorecast
Hmmm...I'm not seeing that. I just created a game and it was instantly on my iscorecast page.

Re: Game list in Scorecast
I tried it from my Ipad2 (same database minus a few weeks worth of games, version and wi-fi network) and it worked. However, it doesn't update the game list from my Ipad3, or whatever the new Ipad is called, when I created another game.
Re: Game list in Scorecast
So different devices have different customer IDs. Are you trying to access from the same place?

Re: Game list in Scorecast
Yes. I'm accessing both devices scorecast sites from the same PC. I've tried the direct link, with customer ID in the url and base site where I enter the customer ID. I've also tried the html scorecast list and the newly created games don't show up there either when the game was created with the new Ipad.
I have a league site linked with this new device too and the games would normally show up as soon as I created them but same problem, they only show after I select iscorecast sync.
I add new games almost nightly so I'm pretty sure I would have noticed this issue sooner if it was just an issue with the new Ipad. I think the recent upgrade either caused an issue with this device or I have finally reached a tipping point with the sheer number of games I have stored on it (over 3 years worth of league games).

Re: Game list in Scorecast
Are the two devices running different versions of iScore?

No, same versions, 3.51.106. Which I believe is really 3.52, since I updated. I just noticed this issue a couple of days ago so I'm assuming it started happening since 3.52.

Re: Game list in Scorecast
Very strange that the same version on both iPads is not producing the same results. Do you have the iScorecast enabled on both devices prior to creating the games? And do you have the same connectivity on both (e.g. both using WiFi)?

Re: Game list in Scorecast
Yes for both, Iscorecast enabled and same wi-fi network.
The only difference between the two is one is an ipad2, the other an ipad3, different customer ID's and the ipad3 has almost a month's worth more games.
I had you guys transfer the entire database over from the ipad2 to the new ipad3 when I got it last month and it worked up until a couple of days ago.
Not a major issue, I can certainly remember to hit the sync button, although it does something odd when I do sync it when the game has not started. After it prompts with the message that I don't need to sync yet because the game has not started, the "wireless transfer" symbol starts and won't stop unless I shut down the app.

Re: Game list in Scorecast
I, too, have noticed that behavior when doing the iscorecast sync.
Incidentally, I found it odd that I got that warning. The reason I was doing the sync was because I had done a swap home/visitor and believe that is required to update the iscorecast.
