Player injured VS substitute during a game

Post by triple » Sun Apr 08, 2012 9:39 am

Our season has not started yet and many questions came up.
First time I will use this software (use to be with Scorekeeper)
Situation :
The team as 9 players and one of them get injured after hitting a double.
We usually replace the injured player buy a player (substitute) in the stands waiting to play in the second game of the evening.

What I did as a scenario :
I clicked on the runner at 2nd base (options popped up) but none to replace the player.
I clicked on MISC, same results

How can I record this : replacing an injured runner during a game knowing he wont be back to play, by a substitute who will complete the game but I do not want his stats to be calculated with his stats obtained during a regular game with his regular team?? :(

When you click the runner, there will always be a Courtesy Runner option that you can use to put in a courtesy runner. If you have at least one player in your lineup with Batting = NO set, you will also have a Pinch Runner option (which does an offensive substitution). To bring someone in that is not part of the team, first go to Misc -> Show Starting Lineup, add the player to the Lineup with Batting = NO, then do the Pinch Runner option and you will be able to sub the player in. His stats would only be calculated with the team if you added him to the Roster for the team.
