Emailing final reports.

Post by Usccleo10 » Mon Apr 02, 2012 2:42 pm

After doing the resent software upgrade that was suppose to make email to newspapers more easy, now when I email the boxscores it just simply shuts down the program. Anyone having this issue or know how I can fix it.

We have found that this will happen in this scenario:

If you start your game with say 12 batters set to Batting = YES, get to that 12th batter and have entered a pitch, then remove the batter from the Lineup (i.e. set Batting = NO after you have already entered a pitch), then emailing the box score will shut down iScore. We have now fixed this issue and will be submitting an update to Apple tonight.

In the meantime, if you go to Game Manager, select the game, select Pitch by Pitch, tap the Game Starts event, and tap Edit next to Starting Lineup and set the extra batter to Batting = YES again (any batter in the next spot is fine), then emailing the box score will work.

i am also seeing this when ADDING an extra hitter, or so it seems. I entered the lineup based on the players in the field initially (9 players), then when the 10th player came to the plate, I clicked on Misc, Show Starting Lineup, and set the additional player Batting=Yes. The game scored normally. When attempting to Email the results from the Game Info page, the email did not go out and the app shutdown.

I have found if I turn off "Include Box Score" option on the email dialog box, the email does get sent and the app does not shutdown. Interestingly, the Box Score section IS INCLUDED in the email... So, maybe two bugs?

Thanks!

If you have an iPad the newest release is out Nd you cn try with that. If you have an iPhone it is still awaiting Apple's approval. If you can do an Options -> Export and Email us your customer ID and which game it is, we can confirm whether the latest update addresses your specific scenario.

newest iphone rlease is not out yet (should be anytime)...it corrects a known bug related to emailing the box score which causes this crash. In the interim, just turn the box score portion off when emailing and you should be good.
