How do you remove an error assigned by mistake?

Post by PACpanther » Sun Mar 25, 2012 10:15 am

Dear iScore Experts,
Yesterday our regular scorekeeper was absent and we had a newbie running iScore. On a particular play, the batter reached first on a single. However, AFTER that play was entered, our scorekeeper entered a new play and assigned an error on our shortstop (by mistake) as the reason for the batter reaching first. (In other words, she entered TWO plays for the same event.) As a result, when I go back to edit the game I am unable to remove the error because it only gives me the option to assign it to a different player. So I suppose my question is, how do you remove an entire play/event that should not have been entered?
Any help would be most appreciated,
Randy

Are you saying the scorekeeper used the Misc -> Assign Error option to give an error to a player for no reason? You can either create a dummy player and assign the error to that dummy player, or you can remove the player from the defensive position by using substitutes on the play before (thus having the error assigned to nobody) and then putting the player back in the defensive position after the play. Or you can just do a direct stat override. Here is a link describing all the ways you can do post game edits:
