roster/lineup

Post by sandman » Tue Mar 06, 2012 8:54 am

i was scoring teams last weekend that i did not have a roster so i did the quick lineup and put their numbers in. i found the rosters of each team but the problem is they dont have numbers. can i put the names in now and match up the numbers later or should i wait til i know the players and their numbers before i enter anything in the comp:?

If you have already entered the numbers for the players, you are probably best off waiting until you know which name goes with each number. We would assume you already have stats associated with the correct numbers since you scored a game, so you would not want to get the player names assigned to the wrong numbers.

thanks that makes sense. i did however score a game with the last names of the players along with the numbers. i made changes and put the first names in and iscore picked up on it and put the right first names with the last names.

When you give them the password to do Data Sharing, they can pull games as well as rosters. If they pull a game, the stats will be pulled for that game as well.

When you see this happen during a game, use Misc -> Show Starting Lineup, and add any players to the Lineup that should be batting.

Once you have scored the game using a certain number of batters, you can not change this. We store the information for each at bat in the "lineup spot" that is at the plate. This allows you to do missed subs post game because you are just saying who it was that was actually at bat in the specific lineup spot. But if you do not have the # of lineup spots set correctly while scoring, the only way to correct it would be to Undo back to the point in the game that the third batter should have been at bat, edit the starting lineup, and re-score from there. It sounds like you are probably best off re-scoring the game. You can use the Scorecard and the Pitch by Pitch data from the iScorecast to help your re-score.
