iscorecast: Hide player stats?

Post by algae737 » Mon Feb 20, 2012 7:16 pm

I (personally) love the "look" of the new (html5) iscorecast page on the computer...but, our high school coaches do not want any player stats available to "the enemy" (the other teams who may be scouting). We link to the on-line viewer from the team's website to allow those unable to attend to keep up with the game, and they've noticed the new viewer (with the lifetime stats included) and want me to change it back to the old "look". Are you going to still offer the old viewer? Maybe offer it in parallel with the new one with a different web address...kind of like the beta was offered? It sure would help me out...

If you log in to the Admin Website (see Options -> Admin Website on your device for info on how to log in), and go to Settings (link in upper right), there is now an option for "Disable Cumulative Statistics on iScorecast?". If you check that box, the cumulative stats will not show on your iScorecasts... it will just show "dashes".

Wow! This is fantastic news. I can now put the link right on our website. Awesome.

Can I make one very tiny additional request and then I'll leave you alone? Any way to make the font smaller on the team names so that they all show up? We play a lot of teams called "Carolina blahs" or "Georgia whatevers" or "Tennessee Ernie Fords", etc. It's difficult to find a particular game or even for the viewer to know who we're playing when all they can see is "Carolin".

Otherwise, this thing is perfect. Can't wait for the season to start and to show it off!

We can not make the font smaller or it wil not be visible on mobile devices but have you tried setting the short name for your teams?
