Players positions
Players positions
We scored our first game of the season last Saturday. Our scorekeeper did not have the visitors player's positions. The game ended without the visitor's fielding and pitching stats because of this. We did have their batting order, that is why we do have their hitting stats. Is there a way to go back to the game and assign the visitor's team positions?

Re: Players positions
Yes. Go to Game Manager, select the game, select Pitch by Pitch, tap the "Game Starts." event, tap Edit next to Starting Lineup, and you can set the positions of the players for the opposing team. You can also scroll to any event, tap it, and tap Edit next to substitutes to enter missed substitutions at any time. After doing this, all stats will be updated.

Re: Players positions
Thank you, that problem was solved by your advice.
We had our 3rd game scored today. Our score keeper made an error on the top of the 1st inning. She scored 2 consecutive home runs, when actually was only one, the following batter in reality struck out. This cause the inning to be forced ended with only 2 outs and an extra run on us. At the end of the game we had an extra run. I tried to edit this play by the pitch by pitch option but the OUT Option was greyed out so I could not put this batter out. Instead what I did was to changed the homerun to a triple with error without scoring the run. This changed allowed to get the runs scoring correct but not the actual play on this particular since he did not hit a homerun or a triple, he just struck out and was the second out of the inning.
My question, is there a way to correct this play?

Re: Players positions
You will not be able to edit the play by play to have it exactly right, but you can add a note to the play saying what happened, and you can edit the stats directly by going to Game Manager, selecting the Game, selecting Team Batting for the team with the player that the mistake was made for, then tap the 3B value for the batter and reduce by 1, then tap the Strikeouts for the batter and incrase the value by 1. This will get the stats correct as well.

Re: Players positions
accurate scoring takes a lot of attention to detail, confusing strike out for home run is best corrected real time with undo button. I suggest making sure your scorekeeper understands how they can correct real time with the undo button as they go.

Re: Players positions
I did put a note of what happened. I tried to do what you said but the SO Columm is in black bold and do not let me increase the value by 1 to reflect a strike out. The 3B Columm does allow me to decrease the value to 0, but if a do that then the batter has no play on his turn at bat. What I do then?
Re: Players positions
Another option, if you really want to get it 100% right, would be to print up the play by play and scorecard and rescore the game in its entirety. Then, once satisfied that it is correct, delete the original game.

Re: Players positions
Sorry... you will want to add the 1 to either the strikeout looking column or the strikeout swinging column. The SO column is the sum of those two columns.

Re: Players positions
Ok, so if I do that then I will end up with 4 outs in the inning, since my scorekeeper forced to end the inning by clicking on End Inning, thus making the third out right there and that play cannot be undo. In other words if I reflect the strike out like you say by increasing by 1 the strikeout swinging or looking Columm, which means an out for the batter and erasing the 3B, how I delete the out recorded by forcing the end of the inning?

Re: Players positions
No extra out is recorded when Misc -> End Inning is used. The scorekeeper would have ended the inning with only 2 outs recorded based on what you have described.
