Twittercast preferences
Twittercast preferences
I can't find preferences to modify the Twittercast frequency of Twiitercast updates. It seems that I used to be able to select updates only at the start and finish of each game, but now I'm sending out updates at every half inning. Was there a change? Or am I missing something?

Re: Twittercast preferences
We have an option for frequency of auto tweets in basketball but not baseball. We will add this request to our enhancement list.

Re: Twittercast preferences
Thanks...or as a work-around, is there an easy way to manually Tweet an update with Twittercast turned off? I suppose you could just leave the Twitter icon in view on the scoring screen even if Twittercast is turned off...

Re: Twittercast preferences
If Twittercast is off, you can not do manual tweets either. We will add options for the automatic tweets in a future udate.

Re: Twittercast preferences
I'm having issues setting up the twitter option on my iPad... Our coach set up a twitter acct for our team.. Sent me the info to log in from iScore, but when I get there, it won't let me send a "test tweet" or anything for that matter. I'm fairly new to twitter and don't really understand how it works yet but this has me stumped. When I search for the team twitter acct from my twitter, it won't allow me to "follow" the team either. How can I get this to work on my iPad? When I enabled twitter cast in iScore, I enter the team twitter info but it's stalls there.
Cant do anything else..

Re: Twittercast preferences
Try going to twitter.com and make sure you can log in there with the credentials you have been given. If it works there, then the only reason the exact same info would not work in iScore would be if the iPad is having Internet connectivity issues.

Re: Twittercast preferences
i could log in at twitter.com, and I have 100% wifi signal. When I try to "follow" the acct from my ipad (which has 3g so we can twwet our progress) it says "forbidden". I cant figure this one out. oh well.. I'll keep tryin but any suggestions would be great. Our first reg season game is this tuesday.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Try deauthorizing from the Twittercast screen and the re authorizing.

Re: Twittercast preferences
More on TwitterCast Preferences:
The half inning update tweets are formed with the following template currently:
<Vistor> x <Home> y [Bottom 5th] [0 Out][0 Balls][0 Strikes] ... No one on [P:#3 John Smith][B:#4 Jim Jones]
Since the auto update is sent at the half inning/end of the inning, The middle part of that information will always be "[0 Out][0 Balls][0 Strikes] ... No one on". I suggest changing the [Top x]/[Bottom x] to [Tx]/[Bx] and possibly showing who's up to bat...
Thoughts?

Re: Twittercast preferences
The B: actually is the batter (In your example, #4 Jim Jones). We use the same tweet message that gets sent as when you manually select the tweet option, but we will look into whether the between inning tweets can provide anything more useful.
