While in PLAY mode the first window to open once
IN PLAY is selected after a hit asks where the runner(s) ended up. The second window asks where the ball was hit. This order should be switched. Where the ball is hit is determined prior to the runners stopping. From my experience runners settling can be greater than 5 seconds with the kids. I'm waiting for the runners to settle so I can enter their positions but I have the ball knowledge waiting for input. Trust me when I tell you seconds matter to a scorekeeper trying to enter data, keeping within the pace of the game . . . and learning on the job.
Other than that the app for the iPad is
great! We play little league and the kids are all over it. Thank You . . . we have been waiting for this app !

Thank you for the suggestion.
We have to ask for the type of "In Play, Safe" option before asking for hit location because there are several that do not require any hit location at all (Walk, Intentional Walk, Hit by Pitch, Dropped 3rd Strike, Catcher Obstruction).
The interface has been pretty fine tuned through several years of scorekeeping at this point, and is pretty good at keeping the number of taps to a minimum for the vast majority of plays.

It would be impossible to enter the play info while it's happening. It shouldn't be that hard to remember one play.

I understand some of the difficulties in implementing this, but I do agree with rodz. It would be easiest for me to score it in the sequence I see it -- if a ball is hit, I tap or double-tap where the ball is hit to, select the type of hit, then touch Next to go to the "Out" or "Safe" options.

But if you tap where the ball is hit they would have to change everything because that's how you sub fielders.

Double-tapping where the ball is hit could be a way of not changing how fielders are subbed. And, if the Out and In Play options remain, I don't think the experience will change for anyone unless they want it to.

Yeah, if that was possible, that would be pretty cool

I also concur with the gentleman from Ohio and/or Texas.
