i am having trouble understanding this. for example, joe is on first with one out. chewy hits a ball to the ss who then throws to the second baseman for the force out but could not complete the double play.
on the iscore i put in "fielders choice" then put in how it was hit and where. it then asks what positions touched it for the out. i put in 6-4. then it asks what happened to joe. i select "tagged out" why cant there be a fielder choice there?
iscore then asks what happened to chewy? i already put fielders choice in. does that seem confusing to anybody else?
fielders choice
Re: fielders choice
It is not confusing when you consider all of the possibilities. There is no Fielder's Choice for Joe because that is not why he is out. He is forced out. The FC is for the batter, chewy.
iScore asks for what happens to chewy because of what might happen after the initial play. Say the throw to first attempting the double play was thrown into the dugout. chewy ends up at second base for ball out of play. What if the throw is bad and chewy goes for second and is tagged out?
