iPad layout

Is the layout of the iPad in portrait and landscape something that is permanently fixed or will we one day be able to chose how things are on there like windows? I've seen numerous requests to get rid of the pitch location area to make better use of real estate and I was wondering if this is ever going to be possible. I like most youth scorers don't take advantage of all that this program can do and would rather see hit charts for next three up to bat or any of the other numerous things that have been requested. I don't ever sit right behind the batter and sometimes with steals and errors of youth baseball it's just not easy to remember all the fine details that you could remember of an upper level game.
