New Photo Handling

Post by FTMSupport » Thu Nov 03, 2011 1:25 am

Couple of improvements on the Team Websites for handling photos:

* The Photos tab itself now shows thumbnails of your photos, and you click a photo to view the full size image. This allows seeing many more images on a single screen, and allows viewers to find just the one they are looking for.

* Modified the Home Page Editor to now have a dropdown when inserting an image on the page that lists all the photos you have on your Photos tab. No more having to grab the URL and paste it in. This should be a huge help for folks that are not used to dealing with image URLs

Go to Player Manager in iScore and choose the player. There is a camera icon there where you can take a headshot photo of the player and it will appear on your team website roster.

Yes, the Camera icon is still available on the player card on iPads... the photo just has to come from your photo library. You can transfer photos to your iPad either via email or by having them on a website and saving the photo to your photo library through the browser, and they will then be selectable in iScore.

I use an iPad 1 (no camera) and get photos into iscore fine like FTM says..
(am jealous of iPad2 owners who have it easier to add photos)

I have photos already associated with all players on our roster, but I get none of them showing up on the team website. I tried changing one of the photos and that didnt help either. Thoughts?

Edit: Disregard...figured it out...need to set images to "show" in the settings.

From the team website, can you put a picture on the roster page. Next to the player. Also when I go to the player manger on my phone I don't see a camera to take a head shot. I have v3.20.201

Yes, you can have headshots next to the players. The camera is currently only availabe on iOS devices (sounds from your version number like you have Android).

You CAN add headshots still however. Go to http://my.iscorecentral.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, and select the link to log in to the BETA site. Use your customer ID and password (as found in iScore on the Options -> Admin Website screen). Then select your team, and go to the Roster. You can upload headshots for each of your players from there.

You will then want to log in to your Team Website as the Admin, go to Settings, and make the Headshots Visible (far right column in Settings).

I tried the above. I was able to upload the picture to the BETA site as described, but it still doesn't show up as a headshot on the roster section of my team page. I exported and imported multiple times to see if that would help, but no luck. The setting is set to "show pictures" in the roster. I'm not sure what else to do. Help please.
