I've just got my first season scoring with iScore on iPad under my belt. It's a great, fun app. Sadly, the season is now over for me. For next year's version, I'd like to see two enhancements:
1) Smarter substitution list: Sort substitution list by last name OR number. Yes, if you manually sort the roster the way you want in Team Manager, then it'll show up sorted that way in the Game Manager's Lineup Cards. The problem is, however, that if you have the Major League Roster add-on, then you have to do that every time you sync the new data because the roster gets scrambled. Or if you do the Copy Lineup to Roster thing, the same thing happens.
I'd like to see two buttons added to the substitution dialog: "By #" and "By LName". Pressing the "By #" button reorders the substitution list by player number. Pressing the "By LName" button sorts the substitution list by last name. You could also add a setting in options: "Default substitution list order" and the options could be "None", "By #" and "By Name".
Another possibility that I like even better: Double tapping the batter or player on the field pops up a dialog box that lets you enter the substitute's number, followed by a confirmation dialog with the players number and name and asking if you're sure you want to make the substitution.
Either way, you're not spending a ton of time searching for a player on a long unordered list. Which is especially handy during a spring training game when every position on the field can have two or three substitutions and the roster is well and truly bloated.
2) Recording pitching speed: I'd like an option to record this in a textbox instead of the slider list it currently uses.
Many thanks!

Re: Two enhancement requests
Thank you for the suggestions. We will add them to our enhancement list for future prioritization. With the pitch speed, once you are in the approximate range of the pitch (after the first pitch, you will generally be "in range", then it should be faster to slide the selector up/down than doing a tap to bring up a keyboard, tapping two digits, and another tap (return/enter) to store the number you typed.

Re: Two enhancement requests
Seems a little much to me. Do you really have that many kids that you need to deal with a sort order? Main kids are at the top, usual subs are at the bottom. Done.
Re: Two enhancement requests
Worst case? Professional spring training game. They have the entire 40 man roster at camp, plus a shipload of invitees. After the fourth or fifth inning, there's wholesale substitutions that continue for the remainder of the game. Believe me, I could definitely have used an ordered list.Camerabry wrote:Seems a little much to me. Do you really have that many kids that you need to deal with a sort order?
