statistics is now asking for a password

The statistics tab on my websites is now asking for a password. When I enter it the process just returns to the password screen again. It is an endless loop. How can this be corrected?

the endless loop sometimes happens when you set the admin and the guest password to the same thing..

The easiest fix, is to reset the administrative password on your hand held.
Options > Admin Web Site > change password
