Team Name Change-EMERGENCY HELP...we're in the World Series!

HELP...
After our team won the state title in 14U Babe Ruth baseball, I changed our team name coordinate with the Regional & World Series references (Oregon). The problem is, the new games don't get registered on our team website.
Any suggestions on how to 1) get the website to recognize both names used for the team or 2) go back and change the team name used on previously scored games.

Congrats.

Iscore creates an unique underlying id for the team you use when you subscribe to the team web site.. That team is tied to the team web site. You can not change the underlying id it is fixed to that team web site. But You can change The human readable name in team manager at any time. but the underlying id that ties it to the web site remains the same.. (the URL of team web site remains the same too)

If team web site not picking up new games scored by the team after an option export, it sounds like you may have created a second team in team manager with the updated name and used it to score recent games?. If so , we can walk you through merging the new team back into the original team that is linked to the team web site.

First, always a good idea before making changes to option > export, so you have a backup on server ...next

Turn on all league in league manager, then look in team manger for old and new teams, do you have two by chance? If not let us know. If so, there is a merge button, bottom left that will let you combine the two teams back into one.. Make extra sure you merge new into original team as original team has the key underlying Id associated with web site.

Once merged, you should see stats for the team that include the missing games, option export and team site gets updated (also may need to re email scorecards and re iscorecast synch any recent games scored if nit showing up on team web site)


FYI, you can also edit the human readable name of teams and game name for any game in the game info screen..team manager > select game > game info screen...

All I changed was the team name under TEAM MANAGER>TEAM LIST>TEAM NAME & SHORT NAME

On the Handheld device, with ALL league enabled.. lets check on a few things.. If not a league turned off, or duplicate team, lets check league assignments...

Did you create a new league for the missing 6 games ?
(both the game and the team need the league assigned to them to show up on web site)

On the Device , Game Manager > Do you see all the games you expect for the team? (if not let us know). How many are there. Are the "6 suspect games (games you see on the device but not on the web site) present? If so , check league assignments on each one and make sure assigned to the right league.

On the device, Team Manager > Select Team >
Check the leagues assigned to the team include the league for the missing 6 games, (both the game and the team need the league assigned to them)

If that was not the issue (leagues), check stats associated with team on the device, and let me how many games there (Team Manager > Select Team > Team Stats) and does that number of games here match what is under the game manager?

Editing a Team Name through Team Manager will not effect whether the games are posted to the website. You can change the team name and they will continue going to the team website because we have an underlying unique ID that identifies the team.

If you can email us your Customer ID and the URL of your Team Website to support@iscoresports.com, and let us know which games are not appearing, we can take a look at your data.
