Cumulative stats for specific group of games

Post by clcmarc » Fri Jul 29, 2011 4:23 am

I have about 60games entered from this year and in trying to analyze certain players, is there a way to select just certain games to collect stats from. Like all 34 tournament games we played this season...versus the 24 league games. I would like to see those as 2 different sets of stats

LEAGUES !! very simple to use, a bit longer to explain but very powerful

Leagues are used in iscore to group games into various categories. This can be tournaments, leagues, different seasons, different years, whatever you want. Exactly what you need,

you should review the online video tutorial on Leagues.
http://iscorecentral.com/baseball/kb/fa ... _stats.php

steps
1 Create leagues in League Manager.
(ex. use add league to create three leagues for you, say, 2011 Tournaments 2011, 2011 League Play and 2011 All
(note their are two special leagues that come with the product ALL and Default, do not try and delete them, ALL is a quick way to enable all data on device to be visible, very useful. DEFAULT is a catch all if no leagues are enabled)

2. Assign Games / Teams / Players to appropriate leagues ..
(Tip> a tap on far right of row will check/uncheck items as appropriate)

for Games, Game Manager> Select Game > Leagues >
(scroll down at game info screen till you see League menu item)

for Teams, Team Manager > Select Team > Leagues >

for Players (optional) Player Manager > Select player > Leagues >

3. Enable/Disable desired leagues for stats you want to see/hide
Only stats for Games/Teams/Payers in leagues that are enabled will be visible on device.

go to League manager, uncheck "ALL league" and Check mark the leagues you want to be "visible" (eg tournament 2011) uncheck mark the leagues you want to hide ( eg . ALL, DEFAULT, 2011 Leagues etc)

4. Review stats under team / game/ player manager for enabled leagues

for your example,
to review 2011 tournament stats (only)
go to League manager, enable only the 2011 Tournament league (uncheck all other leagues)
go to Game Manager and you should only see the 34 tournament games listed
go to Team Manager, select team, select stats and you will only see stats for the 34 tournament games
optionally, if you assigned individual players to leagues, you can go to to player manager, select player, select player card and see player stats for just the tournament games

to review only League play stats,
go back to league manager disable all leagues except 2011 league play, and repeat

5 Trouble shooting
if some data is missing, ie you do not see a team, game or player data as expected, chances are leagues are not assigned and enabled/disabled correctly. to trouble shoot, go back to league manager, enable the special ALL league (to make all data visible) , then find the missing team/player/game and re check league assignments, probably missing the league check mark

Finally
There is much more extensive information on leagues here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1531

The on line videos are a great place to go to learn the iscore way..
http://iscorecentral.com/baseball/training.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Even though you are no longer a rookie.. Haveing a full 60 game season under your belt..you may pick up some tips, for next season..

Also if you did not invest in a team web site, highly recommend considering it for next season, it is a vwry nice way to publish game by game stats and scorebooks to a team and a I find I use it much more than the device to review stats, not only can you sort by leagues (if you have set them up as described). But you can sort by any stat column with a simple click, you can also drill down on a player and see game by game stats with a simple click. And the game score cards are just a couple click's away also. All very simple easy...

Plus you get easy access to iscorecast links. And password protection capabilities.. Al in all a great value add if you have others interested in stats too.
