Player names

Post by brian_oshea » Mon Jul 18, 2011 1:28 pm

I am using an iPad. Would it be possible, in a future release, to show both the visitors & home players names, that appear on the left side of the scoring screen, in a larger type face and in a colour that contrasts better with both the light & dark skin? The same would apply to the offensive and defensive players names shown around the diamond. I find it very difficult to read the names, particularly in bright sunshine.

We can not really make them any bigger or you will not be able to see enough information. We thought we did a pretty good job with the colors, especially on the light skin for use in sunshine, but if you have suggestions that can make it show more, we would love to hear them.

@brian,

I have had good success using the "light skin".. (are you using the light skin , i.e white background) ? Are you wearing sunglasses, generally have to take them off and also sometimes landscape mode is easier to read...

Yes to light skin. No to sun glasses & yes to landscape ( in fact locked on landscape )

I seem to remember that on the iPhone version you can chose to show only first or last name of the players but this option is not available on iPad. If it was and only one part of name used it could then it could be in larger type face. Just a suggestion.

I'm getting used to the sunlight problem and there is NO way I'm giving up iScore because of this small inconvenience. There are way to many excellent features to let this bother me.

It would be impossible to be anything but positive when using iScore, unless your team was getting trounced..lol
