I am pretty sure that I did not miss this one, but ....
As a slow-pitch tournament coach, I am often tasked with choosing the MVP for my opponent. Since I do not bother putting in position assignments for my opponent, I typically base this decision largely on the batting stats (that are easily accessible to me). It would be useful to be able to view the fielding stats by position, even if you did not assign specific players to any of those positions. This way I could ask the opposing coach ... "who was your 2nd baseman? she had 6 put-outs." and start to at least weigh fielding stats when choosing an MVP.
Thanks for the great app.
Fielding Stats by Position
Re: Fielding Stats by Position
fielding stats are easily viewed as you know by name if you assign the positions as you go. I also know not so much value to do that for the other team. one way around this is to create "generic defensemen" ( first basemen, second, third etc) and put them in the starting line up defensively but not batting for your opponent (who also has batter1, batter2, etc - batting in the line up. ). not perfect but an approach I have done on many occasions. .

Re: Fielding Stats by Position
It would be useful to have by player AND broken down by position. On developmental baseball teams, like ours the players are rotated around A LOT. There are a couple of very weak players, whose defensive stats are inflated because they are in the rotation at either first base or catcher. Anywhere else they are "turrible" as Chuck would say.
I realize that this is more on the analytical side of things.... but if it could be fit in it would be great...

@ webshowpro .. this has been a repeat request from users, not sure where it lies on the priority list, but definitely on it.
