Tweets not going out

If you are having it working sometimes and not others, it sounds like maybe you are having a spotty internet connection. We have customers regularly sending tweets, and our own tests work as well, so it does not appear to be a code issue.

If you are at home with a WiFi connection, and create a fake game with Twittercast enabled, do the tweets work for you?

I am also experiencing problems with the tweeting function on my Xoom. My iScorecasts are going out and Twittercast is definitely on. A month ago, it put out a couple game start and game end tweets, but that has stopped altogether lately. About half of my manual tweets show up. I am sitting in a press box of a high school field with a solid 3G signal via Verizon. No wireless available.

Can you try a test game at home with WiFi turned on as a test. First, make sure Twittercast is turned on in Options. Then, create a new game, start it, verify the start game tweet went out, enter a few plays, do one of the in game tweets, verify it went out, a couple more plays, then end game. If this is working for you when connected to WiFi, then it likely means something with the 3G signal is not working.

If this does not work, the first thing to try would be to turn of Twittercast, then turn it back on and re-authorize iScore to use Twitter. After doing this, try a new test game again.

If this is still not working, maybe you can send us the exact steps where it did not tweet, and we can reproduce the issue here.

I did the test (fake game) with the Xoom while connected to a wireless network. iScorecast and manual tweets went out perfectly. No game start or game end tweets were sent.

Hmmm.... Cannot reauthorize my Twitter account info after deauthorizing. May be getting closer to a fix. I wonder if this has to do with the TweetComb app I use for Twitter. I installed it a few weeks ago and that may coincide with my iScore tweeting problems. Will uninstall and try again.

Uninstalled TweetComb. Restarted Xoom. Was then able to Authorize my Twitter account in iScore. The "Now scoring Baseball/Softball games from my mobile device..." tweet went out. Ran another test game. Strangely, no tweets at all went out. Start, end or manual.

Did a real game (3G) 2 nights ago and I ran a fake game (WiFi) this morning. Still only some of the manual tweets are going out. None of the pre and post game automatic tweets are showing up.
