It would be nice to able to choose between; league, pool, bracket, semi & championship when adding a new game.

I usually include this information in the comments on the game info page. It shows up on the scorecard.

+1 An additional standardized, optional field to categorize games, would be a great enhancement, especially if it acts as kind of a secondary filter. Perhaps even the teams stats on the cumulative stats could be sub totaled based on game type automatically. That borders on "analysis", but I think having filters within the core application will make organizing and using the app easier in general. For example, built in filters would allow the game lists to be shorter - click on a "pool game" filter - and only games on active leagues marked as pool show up.

If you create a league called "league", "pool", "bracket", "semi" & "championship", then all you need to do is check the appropriate category under Leagues when creating a new game.

please review the topic on leagues. Leagues are just a way to group games and associated stats.

they are filters and can be very powerful to chunck and group stats,

I do use leagues already exactly as describe with "scrimmage","league","pool","bracket" categories. They do work really well for that - but require a lot of taps to enable or disable depending on what information I want to view. Its all those taps and tediousness that makes me dread trying to get anything other than the most basic game data out of the app.

do you have a team web site?? , although it does not sound like much, it is definitely easier on the web site to view "stat slices" with the drop down league selector box.

that said, there have been multiple suggestions made on the forum on ways to streamline the leagues on the device, including a simple way to create a new league straight from the league selector box when creating a new game and a drop down league selector box when reviewing stats. both on FTM list for future consideration (among other ideas/ variations to streamline leagues)
