iScorecast missing rosters and batter names

Post by briefcase » Tue Jun 28, 2011 6:06 am

I broadcast our game last night like usual but the play-by-play on the website was missing the rosters as well as the batter names. For example, it would say "batter hits a line drive" instead of "Scott hits a line drive". The play-by-play on the iPad itself looks fine. This is the first time this has happened. Has anyone seen this before? Thanks.

When you originally created the team did you use quick roster? If so you may need to copy line up to roster to populate the team manager.

Thanks for responding. I created the other team's roster from scratch. Plus, it didn't work for my team either and our roster was created a while ago and has been used successfully in several games until now. I don't think I did anything different this time than I've done multiple times before, and what's really strange is that everything looked perfect in iScore itself, it was just the iScorecast on the website that was messed up.

If you use "post game editing" to change anything, those changes do not automatically get synched up to an iScorecast. There can also be issues if you happen to have a bad internet connection at the field.

To correct either situation, go to Game Manager, select the game, and scroll down to "i-ScoreCast Synchronize" and tap that. This will re-send the game up to the iScorecast server.

It wasn't a post game editing issue because the issue was happening in real time (and I didn't post game edit anyway), but I think you might be on to something with the weak signal. I did seem to have a particularly weak signal so maybe that was it (i.e. the original rosters didn't get transmitted correctly so the play-by-play had no roster on the iScorecast site to refer to?). Thanks.

I can't say I have seen this issue on this board yet so let's try and narrow it down.
Did you do anything different from other games with this lineup?
Did you change the lineup using Misc:show starting lineup to change the lineup after the game started?
Did you delete any players in the lineup that were a no show?

Anything different can help FTM isolate your particular situation.
