My radio broadcast partner and I want to stat the same game. We each have an ipad. I'm doing scoring. He's doing everything else. Is there a way to "connect" us so that each of us are seeing the other's stat inputs via Bluetooth or wi-fi?
Or at the very least, is there a way to "merge" the statistics at the end of the game or at halftime?
Thanks for your response.
Statting the same game using multiple users & iPads
Re: Statting the same game using multiple users & iPads
Not good news...Iscore is really not built for 'multi-merge' scoring...pretty much singular input for a game...
(the idea has been discussed in some threads around here on in multiple variations, like one scores home, one away, or one scores hitting one pitching or like your need 2 or 3 score and accept the most right one post game... All sound pretty complicated in programing and Do not appear to be on top of FTM idea list)
The only post game merge I can envision is manual comapre and manipulation in excel...
Or manual editing of one master, upon consultation..
You can pass games from one unit to another, but that does not sound like what you are talking about

Agree. I can only stat a game with a spotter and then it took a lot of practice. Nobody else can do it. In the past, the coach handed out boards and each person kept certain stats. The ability to do this on iPads and synch would be huge. My company builds apps and I know that this is feasible. HOWEVER...... if this is not in your plans, at least allowing all of the games to be stored in a central location from different iPads (i.e., if I'm not at the game and somebody else takes stats) would also be great.

You can actually use Data Sharing to transfer games and rosters between devices --- this allows any number of devices to share games they have scored and be able to see the cumulative stats from all the devices. Just go to Options->Data Sharing within iScore to see this option. Here is a link that describes data sharing as well... it is for iScore Baseball, but the details are the same:

With the ability to share data between ipads using Data Sharing, does IScore Basketball able to display the team standings?
(This might be a silly question but I'm very new with using the app.)

League standings would require scoring for the entire league, and most people are not doing that. If you have an entire league being scored with iScore, email us at sales@iscoresports.com with a little more information about your league, and we will see if you are a fit for our League Sites.
