Add or subtract a out or run

I had a situation the other night scoring my team's softball game with the bases loaded , 1 out , and the batter hit a ground ball and the runner on 3rd was safe on the throw to the plate. Anyways I thought he was out and that is how I scored that play.(in reality he was safe and scored). Well two batters later i caught my mistake.(thankfully it wasnt a big deal since we have to score on paper since it gets turned into the league after the game.). Rather than hitting undo and losing all the information i had inputed for the previous two batters it would be nice if under the misc. button you could add or subtract an out and add or subtract a run overide option. and add a note about the situation. I know it would probably mess up stats but it would have been nice so that the next out would not have ended the inning.

We are continually looking for ways to improve the way updates can be made, but as you can see even from your description, allowing edits of previous plays can have an impact on future plays, and is what makes this a very difficult problem. For example, what if you had 3 outs for an inning, then went back 2 plays and changed one of the "safe" plays to an out? Now there would be 4 outs in the inning. There is an endless number of situations that can cause problems with allowing any type of editing, but we do continue to try and improve on the most common edits. For example, we recently added the ability to change a triple to a double + error, and a double to a single + error.

We will continue looking for more ways to allow updates in the future as well.

Well what I was thinking wasn't to edit the play I already entered since I know that would have a cascade effect on future plays.

The idea I had was more like an override of any current out/run total. at the point i was currently at in the game.

We do allow overriding of stats post game, but not the line score. We will consider adding this in a future release.
