Date on Game Title

Post by jkirkpa380 » Sun May 29, 2011 7:51 am

I've seen this discussed before here and am having a similar problem.

The date on the game title, the one that appears on the scoresheet, is incorrect. It reads "5/26/11," which is the date I created the game. The correct date should be "5/28/11." I've changed the date many times, emailed everything to myself, and restarted the iPad 2 several times. Nothing seems to work. I'm doing all of this, of course, in the Game Manager. The dates under the heading "Game Dates" are correct. Any help??

You can change that field manually. It is the top text field on the Game Info screen. It defaults when you create the game but if you change the game date, you will have to change the title yourself.

I've been doing that repeatedly, but every time it reverts to the original date. The original has the date, then the teams, so I even reversed that to put the teams first, then the date. It reverted.

One thing might be that you have to press the done key on the keyboard. If you just dismiss the keyboard the change does not take.

After the changes are you hitting done or just closing the keyboard? I edited the date hit done and the changes stuck.

I'm having a similar problem, but the fix is not working for me since the only issue with the date is when I view the player stats. On the game screen, the dates are perfectly correct - the date of the game is correct based on the scheduled date/time I give the game when I create it, and then I even go in after I end the game when I manually input the stats and change the actual starting and ending date/time of the game to the correct info. So in viewing the games from the Game Manager screen, they all have the correct date/time, and when I view each individual Game Info screen, the title and Scheduled, Started, and Ended info under the Game Dates heading are all correct. Yet, when I view/email the player's stats, the date I created the game is listed by each game stat line, not the actual date of the game.

What am I doing wrong?

what device.

Are you emailing BEFORE you edit the game info screen fields.. a) date (scheduled, start end) and b) title. (default includes date, edit to change)

Ipod touch.

I create the game and edit all the stats and info before emailing anything. Basically, I go back after the tournament ends, create each of the games, fill in the stats and game info, and then pull the player stats and the dates are wrong.

You should actually be setting the scheduled + start dates prior to scoring the game. If you score all the way to completion, then set the start + scheduled dates, the date associated with the stats may not be updated. To force an update, bring up the stats for the game, and tap the Recalc button. This should assign the currently set start date for the game to the stats.
