Motorola Xoom

Post by FTMSupport » Sat Feb 26, 2011 8:44 pm

We have had people reporting a crash when opening iScore on the Xoom in Landscape mode. If you turn your device to portrait mode when opening iScore, everything will run fine.

We have found a fix for this, and will be posting an update to the Android Market shortly.

Thank you to everyone that submitted reports on this issue.

We have published v3.08 to the Android Market --- this addresses the Xoom crashing issue, and fixes a number of screen issues on the Xoom device.

Just got the update this morning and can confirm this fixes the force close when opening landscape... nice, smooth transition to portrait btw :-) This app really runs smooth on the Xoom so far. Can't wait for some of the tablet enhancements!

Thanks again!

I can not figure out how to change a batter when needed. On my evo I can press on the batter and it will bring up a list of players who you can substitute. On the Xoom, pressing on a batters name brings up a list of players but you are not able to do anything with the player except see the player editor screen. I can change positions of the players but not the batting order.
Any help please

To change the batting order, you would have to change the starting lineup. To do this, use Misc -> Show Starting Lineup.

If you are trying to "sub in" batters, you need to have players in the lineup with Batting = NO. Otherwise you are in "all players bat" mode and offensive substitutions are not allowed.

@texassez

In general both evo and zoom have same user interface,

the difference you are experiencing is on the way you set the team line up for the game, on evo you have some players on the bench, on the zoom the team you are tapping the icon for you have everyone in your line up set bat=yes..and hence have no bench batters..to fix this go to misc - show staring line up and either add a non batting bench sub, or change some players ton bat =no.

Hey all...just got the xoom...is the iscore app for the xoom the same as the droid phone with the screen simply stretched to fit the screen or is it configured as the ipad is? Not going to purchase the app if it's not in "xoom" format yet.

Thanks gang.

It is a larger version of the phone app right now. We will be making Android Tablets work more like the iPad in a future update. Will just be an update to the existing Android app.

We generally try and have updates available every few weeks to every couple months depending on the outstanding issues and other priorities that we are constantly juggling and refining. We are driven more by keeping th quality of the product as high as possible, and balancing new feature additions. We are not date driven, so we do not give estimates on when updates will come out.
