Players not on teamroster

Post by Dutchie » Sat May 28, 2011 9:54 am

Hi there,

When i add a new game and fillin the lineup for our opponnent team with add new player. I don't see the players on the team roster appear when i look at this under team manager. So yesterday i scored a game and today i wanted to see the team stats, but there were no stats for the opponent. I had to add the players (again) to the team roster to see their stats. Is this an error? Because i already added the players to the team roster during the new game line up???

Ok i found the solution. I have to go to the starting lineup of the game then click options and then copy lineup to roster. But why is the app not doing this automatically? I mean, the players who are on the lineup of a team belongs to that team, so why not add these players automatically to the roster?

This is by design. Lineups can change from game to game, and may not match the Team Roster. Many leagues have "pickup" rules where if only 8 players show up, you can pull a 9th player from a pool of players in the league. You would not want that player added to your Team Roster.

The Team Roster becomes the default Lineup for any new games you create. Once the game is created, there is no tie from the Lineup back to the team roster. As you found, we have an option where you can copy your changes back to the roster if you want, but it is not automatic.
