Defensive Interference

Post by psundstrom » Mon May 23, 2011 11:07 am

How do I score a runner advancing due to defensive interference? There does not seem to be an option for this.

Welcome to the board.

Tap the player on base then a menu will pop up, Defensive indifference is 4th item down on the left.

Not defensive indifference, but defensive interference. The runner was approaching third base and the third basement blocked his path. The runner is awarded home because of the interference. I am looking for a way to record this occurance.

Danmcc, I think you misread his problem. I believe defensive interference is usually scored as an error on the defensive player. Tap the runner, next base, safe, error. I'm not sure if iscore will then ask for the position for the error.

We have added Defensive Interference as an option for runner advancement for the next release of iScore. We will be submitting the update to Apple soon.

Just to be technically correct; Offense interferes. Defense obstructs.
