Getting ready to score at a tournament
Getting ready to score at a tournament
Any hints for using preset fielders and/or getting a jump start on setting up tourn pool games in advance of getting to the field when you know who you are playing but won't know until the coin toss right before the game whether you are home or away?
Is it possible to just flip flop home and away after setting the lineup?

Yes, you can flip flop the home and visitor teams. While on Lineup Screens before the game starts, press the Options button, then "Swap Teams". This will swap home and visitor for the game.
Will let others chime in with any tips they may have on getting ready for tournaments.

@Paulsilas
There have been a few posts on small glitches with preset fielding positions..
in tournament play where rotations are less frequent, I tend to skip the preset fielding option altogether, and just stick to the routine of running through fielders every half inning. Especially if I am scoring from the bleachers and have someone next to me to run down the players/numbers...
As to rosters, team mom and others have had good luck looking on Internet for teams and rosters in advance...Check tourney, Asa or usaa or nations sites for teams and rosters as appropriate..

There should not be any open issues with preset fielding.

Re: Getting ready to score at a tournament
The current iPad version still has an issue for Misc End Inning option for preset fielding. The substitution event does not get reflected right away. We are forcing it through by touching out and cancel to make sure the substitution takes effect and we see it in the pitch by pitch window.

We love the preset fielding positions and are very happy to have that option now.

If you go ahead and score, everything actually works fine though, right? The issue is you just do not see the fact that substitution occurred until you have actually entered the first pitch after the substitution should have occurred?

Re: Getting ready to score at a tournament
In testing, the substitution does show up if you continue scoring.
We had an issue where the substitution didn't take effect when my son was scoring, but he couldn't tell me if he had done something that might have caused it not to be there. One thing that I can think of that might have happened is he might have hit the undo button once and not realized it. The undo would have undone the substitution event and he wouldn't have realized it since the fielders didn't change on the screen. This is why we now force it to show up before scoring the next play, so we know it has displayed the fielding subs on the screen.

Re: Getting ready to score at a tournament
We have now fixed this issue for our next release so the screen will refresh immediately upon start of the next half inning in this scenario.

Re: Getting ready to score at a tournament
Nevermind this post. I was mistaken on another scenario for an issue.
Thanks for getting this fix in.
