Reversed Home and Away Teams

Post by Dschmitz » Sun Apr 24, 2011 3:19 pm

In one of our games when I was absent, a parent with no experience with iscore did their best to score the game. I set up the game beforehand but the coin flip resulted in us being away rather than home. He did not know how to swap teams so he was somehow bouncing around in the half innings to score our kids but in the wrong half inning.

I was able to swap the teams afterward and most everything seems to be correct in Game Manager - stats, boxscore, results, etc. However, on our team website, several sections are reversed - including box score, result in main game page, and iscorecast. The play by play and scorecard seem correct except the title still has home and away reversed.

Any ideas for correcting this?

Thanks

try this. ( not verified, because I not sure i can simulate...) but my suggestion...

The idea, Go back to the game And redo the last play manually to trick the game to update internal clock. Then re update web site..

How..
Go to game info screen. Scroll down and Make a note of the end time. Then hit play, "game over screen" use undo and make note of the last play/pitch, then re enter the last pitch/play manually.. Finsih game, Then Try re exporting, re emailing the score card and re iscorecast synch. See if that refreshes them on the web site.

. After you have verified the refresh on the web site, you can manually reset the end game time back to what it was.

Thanks Ohio Tex. I just got around to trying this. Changing the end of the game time worked fine. However, it did not change the result on the website after exporting, sending e-mail, and sending iscorecast. On the website, the scorecard and play by play are correct. However, the boxscore, iscorecast, and results in the Games page have the teams reversed. The game info page from the program has correct information, including statistics. Any ideas?

Re synch the iscorecast. If that does not work delete it on. Admin web site iscorecast tab and them re iscore cast synch on handheld game manager , game info screen,

Still no luck. Unless you have other ideas, I guess last resort is to manually enter the game again and then delete the prior entry.

I was able to print the iscorecast and play by play to get most of the detail I will re-enter from our website. Is there a way to print hit locations - spray charts from the game? I experimented with re-entering and it seemed like the re-entered game would not appear in chronological sequence. Is it possible to enter a game now and have it appear in the list when it was played a month ago?

Thanks for your efforts.

Make sure you enter the scheduled + start dates for the game in the Game Info screen and it will appear in chronological order. The scorecard should have hit locations on it. We do not have a hit chart by game report. If you happen to have a team website, you can put the one game in a league of its own, and view just that league on the team website and you would be able to view just hit charts for that game. Without a team website, we don't have a way to view the hit charts for an entire game on a single report.
