iPad NOT importing games via Data Sharing

I have iScore for both my Android MT4G and a 1st gen iPad. Both current versions. For now I've been scoring games using my phone, exporting to the phone's admin website, logging-in to the admin site using data sharing from the iPad, and importing individual teams and games.

The problem is that, after working just fine for several weeks, it's now simply stopped working. From my iPad, I can see the list of unimported games. I can select one, do the mapping, verify, and get the "successfully imported" message. Trouble is, it didn't. The game isn't anywhere on my iPad, and it still shows up in the list of un-imported games (normally a game disappears from that list once it's been imported.) None of the games will now import to the iPad.

No clue as to whether the problem lies with the android export or the iPad import.

If you can do an Options->Export from your Android Phone, and email your customer ID to support@iscoresports.com, and let us know which game you are trying to data share to an iPad, we can check to see what is causing the problem.

Welcome to the forum

You described the symptom well, and sounds like you are doing things right on your end..but unfortunately , have not heard of this happening before on the board ....my first thought is it may be potentially related to the new MT4G. But no clue how/why.. Emailing FTM is your best bet. They are pretty quick to respond . Hopefully they can see the problem and fix.Look forward to hearing if it is a hardware, software, operator or other issue

There was a new field introduced in the newest version of iScore for Android that is not yet in the newest version for iOS. This was causing the failures. We have fixed this on our server so it correclty filters that field when importing to a device that doesn't have it.

I tried it a day or so later--before reading the replies in this thread--and everything worked perfectly. If only all problem were so easily solved. +1

The best part is this is the norm for the developers at FTM, not the exception.

they take bug fixes/crashes very seriously and try to identify, and fix fast.

One or two day solves is not uncommon.

This is one of the reasons I found myself so supportive of the product and forum, a gold standard for others to see.
