Re: iScorecast Geo Map
WIll iscorecast have to be used in order to get locations on the map? WIll there be a way to add the location via the admin website for those who do not use iscorecast or don't have wireless plans on our ipads?

Re: iScorecast Geo Map
iScorecast has to be used, but you can set the location manually on the Admin Website for any game that has been iScorecast. So if you score without iScorecast, but do an iScoreCast Sync (from game info screen) after the game, you can still enter the location of the game by going to the Scorecasts tab on the Admin Website, and clicking the little globe icon next to the game. It is very easy to enter the location.... you can start typing a city, address, name of a park or school, etc, and it will quickly give you a list of choices to pick from. You can then drag the little marker to an exact location on a field if you want (if it is a complex with multiple fields for example).

Re: iScorecast Geo Map
Can we make the map link optional on the team web site game page? ( like the hit charts, enable/disable in settings stat selector). As the accuracy is not always perfect, my geo map is pointing directly to some unsuspecting persons home..

Re: iScorecast Geo Map
Yes, we will make it optional. If you log in to your Admin Website, you can set the exact locations of the games very quickly... tap the globe next to the game on the Scorecasts tab, and just start typing any address and it will do a quick lookup. You can zoom in and place the "marker" right on the ball field... even on first or third base side if you want.
You can also opt out of the maps completely on the Admin Website and no game locations will be shown on the maps at all.

Re: iScorecast Geo Map
Ok, that is new. I missed that add last week to my.iscorecentral.com admin site. Cool.
Re: iScorecast Geo Map
On my.isocrecentral.com admin web site / iscorecast tab.
I tried to update some past "-" game locations but they did not save. I clicked on globe icon, drag and drop icon. to correct location and it worked ( temporarily) , when i return it does not save them, they revery back to "-".
locations that had a Latitude and longitude were editable and they were saved, but not the "-" ones.
is that by design or am i doing something wrong?

Re: iScorecast Geo Map
Best guess is that the games are before we started storing the games on our server in the way that is required for the geo locations. You can try doing an i-ScoreCast Synchronize from Game Manager for the game that is not updating, then try editing the location and it should stick.

Re: iScorecast Geo Map
I have older games that have 'locations' and newer games that do not, so does not feel like a game date related issue, but is likely a last time iscorecast synch issue. . I did what you said (manual iscore synch) and it worked, locations now stick.
for those reading,
if you have a "dash" in your location (on iscorecast tab on your admin site) and want it to have a location, you may need to go back and do a manual "i-scorecast syncronize" for the location edit to stick (do this from device, game manager, scroll to bottom of game info screen) . the manaual iscorecast will force posting a default location or 0,0 (as opposed to a "-") . From there you can edit location on the web site by clicking the globe icon and dragging and dropping the marker. ( tedious process if you have a number of games to do) (also note, manual iscorecast synch will not change the order of your iscorecasts on the web site menu)
If you want to go back in time and edit locations and have a number of games at the same place, instead of drag and drop editing each one on the admin page, you can edit/set the first one then cut and paste the latitude and longitude into the globe box to get close for others (may need to remove the comma) once close you can drag and drop the marker the last yards/mile.
