Player # 00 not allowed

Post by deanhoyt » Thu Jun 11, 2009 10:24 am

I don't know why, but girls love the 00 (double zero).
I did a tournament, and every team had a 00.
My daughter is 00, and it shows as 0, but is blank when I edit the player.
I have been putting in 100 just to have it show up correctly.

Any possible fix?
Don't treat the number as a number, treat it as a string.

The Excel spreadsheet sent to our uniform supplier came back with jersey # 0.
It treats 00 as a number and therefore 0.

We store jersey #'s as a number, and therefore would treat 00 as a 0. We will add it to our list of potential future enhancements, but it is honestly not going to be a very high priority item.

Thank you.

Count me in also. I understand your position completely, but maybe more votes can move it up the list!

We had two baseball teams with 00 this weekend and this poses two problems. One, it displays as 0 on the roster screen, which is the default for no number, so it's hard to tell which player is which. Also, the player displays with no number on the scorecard.

While I don't understand 00 (when one 0 isn't enough?), for some reason it's popular and should be accounted for.

I agree, this should be a supported number. Add me to the list of signatures wanting this supported.

Have to echo the need. double zero. the idea of making the batter number field a text field makes sense..

It is on our list... we will be adding it in an upcoming release... it is getting closer to the top of the list as more and more people are requesting it. :)
