Misc > show starting line up screen opens to Last choice

Post by OhioTex » Sat Apr 16, 2011 2:01 am

FTM ..This is a mixed post, a potential (small) bug identifier and a (small) re request for consideration..

On the iPad, I recently noticed when in game and visitor at bat, and I pull up misc > show starting line up, it defaults to the home team line up (as expected) but if I choose visitor, make edits and then done. Next time I open "misc > show starting line up" it opens to last used screen, ie visitors in this case. From prior posts, I think the design intent was to always open the home team screen first, for starting line up, stats, and scorebook, Regardless of who was at the plate, for 'consistency'. Not sure if this 'last used screen' behavior is by design or not. If not, a small bug, if by design, ok. Got it.

This reminds me of a past request, that i saw a recent poster also allude to.. While in game, consider opening the scorebook, starting line up, and stats to the team at bat.. Since this idea came up a few weeks/months back, i have been more conscious of how many times I open up scorebook, and have to flip to the batting team. By defaulting to team at bat, would save a click. Yes it would be a user interface change for long time scorers, so as recent poster suggested, perhaps an option setting would be helpful. Just food for thought, especially if the above behavior on starting line up is a bug and you have to recode that logic anyway...

Add my vote for scorebook defaulting to currently batting team.
