Differentiate Errors

Post by CSThunderCoach » Fri Apr 09, 2010 8:08 am

Would like to see a method to identify the error type (throwing v. fielding)
Just seeing E1 or E3 in the book or just the number of errors for a player does not tell the whole story. If we see a player has 10 errors at the end of the season, we - as coaches - don't know if the player needs help fielding or throwing or both.
Maybe include Throwing Error and Fielding Error buttons (or a double-tap option to cycle) so that we have at least something in the play-by-play to refer back to instead of creating notes for every error. Breaking them out in the stats would be preferred.
Thanks again for at least giving us the opportunity to request features that we would like to see. We know you can only do so much, but every little enhancement makes our jobs as coaches that much easier.

We have this on our list, and you restating helps us prioritize. Thank you.

I'd like this feature too.

While I'm at it, i think that the pop-up/fly out option should default to fly out. Fly outs just seem more common.

Thanks

We have an equal number of people that say pop out is most common and fly out is most common. It really depends on the ages of the teams being scored.

I would love if someone could tell me the difference between a pop-up and a fly-out! I usually use pop up for infield and fly out for outfield, but have no idea if that is correct.

That is generally correct... pop-ups are generally not as well hit, not off the "sweet spot" of the bat. When you hear of a "bloop single" it is usually a popup over the infield.
