I have a player profile page set up for my son. He plays for a few different travel teams, and his school team. I am trying to separate the stats for last season from this. I have set up the teams with different "leagues" so, for example, tournament games are "League 1", league games are "League 2" and scrimmage games are "League 3." But on the individual player pages it gives a lifetime total for each of the teams rather than break it down to the various leagues on the various teams.
Also, is there a way to not make some of the leagues (especially from last year) visible on the player pages? I posted something similar last year, and I was told that I would "soon" be able to separate which of the different leagues I wanted to be visible. Is it still in the plans of one of the updates?
Individual league stats for player profile pages
Re: Individual league stats for player profile pages
I believe you are talking about the optional subscription service called "Player Spotlight"
(for those reading, similar to Team Web site subscription, but instead of the focus being the team, it is focused on a player across any/all teams)
The short answer is No. Because the League features on the Player spotlight page have not been advanced as far as the league selection features on the Team Web site page.. Since the original introduction of team web sites and player spotlights, Team web sites have been "updated" periodically (e.g League drop down box, log off button, hit charts, Stat Column editor) but those updates have not always been ported over to the player spotlight page.
I am not part of FTM, but observations on the forum. the Player Spotlights have not generated nearly as much interest as the Team web sites, additional functionality, additional sports, or additional platforms (e.g android, tablet, leagues etc) ...hence player spotlights have not been given as much development time..
so the long and the short of it is for now, you are correct it does not filter by league. Perhaps more echo votes on this page or more player spotlight purchases will elevate its consideration for development time and priority.
P.S> as a historical nugget. player spotlights itself was born of a "user suggestion", it was not part of FTM initial roll out based on an idea a user in this form came up with and FTM implemented quickly to test the interest. (again, a tribute to their customer service and listening to voice of the customer).

Re: Individual league stats for player profile pages
I would like to echo the request for "leagues" functionality on Player Spotlight pages.
To me, the primary use of the Player Spotlight page is as a place to automatically store stats, pictures, and video for recruiting purposes. Not being able to separate stats by year in addition to team (at least; I don't see why full "leagues" functionality can't be implemented) severely limits the usefulness of the Player Spotlight page. Sometimes I may want to highlight more recent play, or a tournament or showcase against particularly good competition (or perhaps the use of a wood bat), etc.
I would guess this may be a reason why the Player Spotlight has not gained as much traction as it could. The more it is designed to be flexible and a repository for recruiting information, and even be designed to work with and be integrated into sites like BeRecruited.com, the better and more useful Player Spotlights will become.
