Device to Website Live Chats

Post by jbeau8 » Fri Mar 25, 2011 11:13 am

Would be nice to be able to post messages to the website from the device that is being used to score the game ( Ipad). Like a live chat session that appears if the scorer wants to send a message to viewers. Would also like to see a count of how many people are viewing the game form the device. I know the website gives you a # but I don't see it it on the device scoring the game.

Any notes you enter during a game are sent out as part of the iScorecast, so would be viewable by people watching the game.

We will not likely be making viewer counts available on the scorekeeper device as it would require polling the servers to see what is going on, and the scorekeepers device sends data out, it does not read data in.

As you noted, you can view the Scorecast count on the HTML Viewer page for the game, so you could always open a browser window on your device and view the game if you really wanted to see that count.
