post game pitch by pitch editing

Post by willie8484 » Sun Mar 20, 2011 6:53 pm

Trying to change a triple to a double/error and I can't seem to find how to do this. Go to the pitch by pitch, select that play, choose edit, and it will let me change where the ball was hit, but won't let me change the triple to a double? Can this be done? Using Android version.
Thanks.

pitch by pitch editor does not allow you to change a multiple base hit to a single and error -- iscore considers it a game changing event. You can change a hit to an error or an error to a hit but not extra base hits.. This is same in all platforms of iscore

What you can do is over ride the stats..(game manager> game> team batting stats > tap stat and edit). Have to change single and errors plus check earned and unearned runs too..

Thanks for response. I think I can fix it another way because it was in last 1/2 of last inning, I can print scorebook, undo back to that play, fix it, then redo rest of game (like 2-3 batters). Not sure I understand why it is a game changing event? You can change hits/errors, what is the difference between changing a triple to a double and taking 3rd on an error, same result & does not change game from my viewpoint? Not complaining, just trying to understand, I may not be thinking through all the possibilities. Great product & support.
Thanks.

In that case, you are changing 1 event (a triple) into 2 events (a double + an error). While the overall outcome of the game does not change, it is changing the number of events that took place which also can not currently be done.
