Pitching stats -manual entry
Pitching stats -manual entry
I've entered the stats from a missed games, using the one pitch, end game, stats override, but that doesn't allow me to change the pitching stats. How can I manually update the pitchers?
Re: Pitching stats -manual entry
In your fake game, make it more real than a pitch... How much more than a pitch- depends on how many players you need to register in the game..
For pitching, sub in each pitcher you need for a pitch, so they show up in stats, giving you a base to work from
Likewise, if you track fielding, put in all the defensive players you need for a pitch so they register in the game and allow you to edict from there...
Make sense?

Re: Pitching stats -manual entry
Tried that. I changed innings pitched then entered the stats but the IP keeps reverting back to what was scored on the fake game. My batting stats from the fake game are not update to the cumulative team stats either.
Re: Pitching stats -manual entry
The ip not being editable is a known issue for future update ( posted previously)
Team stats not updating, sounds like fake game not assigned to league that is enabled when viewing stata. Check league assignment

Re: Pitching stats -manual entry
I must be missing something. I use misc to exit game, then view stats from game info. I make the changes, say no on recalc, but nothing changes, not even the game score?
Re: Pitching stats -manual entry
Will ask for FTM or others help on a couple points here...
.??.
1. Can one over ride stats mid game? Normally i do not make stat over rides until after a game is finished, not sure how that works internally in iscore mid game..
2 never tried to change a team score, just player stats.. Can team score be changed? I can change the runs a player scores and the runs the pitcher allows on an ended game, but it does not change the score. not sure it could/ should
Obj14
when you make an edit, is it 'sticking' (except for ip) and turning red. If not be sure you hit return on keyboard after making edit. Once change made, codependent cells recalculate immediately . No need to recalc.
There was a good thread that covered when to use recalc and why

..here is a great recap

team mom wrote:?... to summarize, in the normal course of iscore, there is no need to ever use it [recalc]. The exceptions would be if you have used manual overrides in the past and want to go back to iscore stats, OR iscore has issued a app upgrade and the recalc is required to fix a previously identified bug. Of course if you have manual overrides and there is a bug, you can press recalc and NO and your overrides will not be reset. Is this correct?

Found the reference thread where IP edit/calculation discussed

FTMSupport wrote:Nice find... we will have to fix this for a future update. We actually calculate that field based on # of outs the pitcher has made. So we will really have to modify the # of outs in the underlying data when you try and edit innings pitched. We will put this on our list for future enhancement. Thank you.

Re: Pitching stats -manual entry
Stats should only be edited when the game is over. Prior to that, they are still being generated, so an override would not make sense.
Editing Innings Pitched works on the Android. We will fix it for iOS devices for the next update.

1- thanks. For clarifying not to wait till game over to male edits ( Thpught so)
2- Not advocating, but to clarify ..Will override edits ever cause a change to the score in the game manager scoreboard?
Example,. Can add runs for an offensive player and iscore will increase run total for team but scoreboard does not change, add runs allowed for a pitcher to match and scoreboard does not change.... not advocating it should just trying to clarify the expectation is it does not..or should it?

Re: Pitching stats -manual entry
No, the overrides will only effect the player stats, not the scoreboard for the game. The scoreboard for the game will reflect what was scored during the game. If a team has too many runs, you can edit the Pitch by Pitch and changed scored runs to "Run Not Scored" in the Pitch by Pitch editor. If you do not have enough runs in a game, you can undo the game over and add an extra half inning with fake homeruns, then override the stats post game to get the score right and the stats right... something was already scored wrong, so you would be overriding already anyway.
