Preset positions

Post by photojon » Fri Mar 18, 2011 8:39 pm

Greetings-

I tried using preset positions for the first time tonight and it did not work how I expected. Perhaps you could point out where I messed up.

I started a new game which was designed for 6 innings. I entered preset positions for our team. For the other team I just used quick roster and no positions. During the game I made manual pitching changes whenever a coach would come in and pitch for a player.

When I carefully looked at our fielders late in the 4th inning, I noticed that they were in the same position as the first inning. I would have expected the defensive substitutions would have happened automatically at each inning as I prescribed in the preset positions.

Any guesses as to what I did wrong? I am using the latest iPad version.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Did you have to use the Misc->End Inning function to end your innings? This is a known issue that has been corrected and will be available in the next release. If the inning ends automatically with 3 outs, the preset substitutions have been working for me. I'm running on an iPad.

The substitutions should have been made at the end of each inning as long as they ended with 3 outs. As Aimee noted, we have fixed an issue with using the option to end an inning early for the next release.
