The app should have a means for reading roster files off the SD drive which could be placed there either by bluetooth transfer between devices or by mounting the device to your desktop and copying csv files or xml to the SD from the desktop.
The teams and rosters could then be imported into iscore and added to the db.
first row contains field IDs, subsequent rows include data.
If you are scoring youth leagues 12-14 players 6-8 teams, or even HS 25 players, 6-8 teams entering on the device or the server is not too bad. However when you consider college ball where there are 35 players on each team and the possibility of playing 22 different teams means entering over 700 lines of data by hand. It is much more effective to copy and filter a team's roster and then copy it to your SD. for youth leagues, two parents with iScore, one from each team, could share rosters via bluetooth.

Re: roster storage on SD card.
We have Data Sharing capabilities already. If one person creates the teams, you can use Data Sharing to transfer the teams to other devices. Or you can split the duties, and use Data Sharing in both directions. Here is a document describing data sharing:

FYI - An easier way is to copy and filter a team's roster and then enter it on your admin site. Then you just import to your device. That is the way I handle things for youth tournaments.tldryflys wrote:It is much more effective to copy and filter a team's roster and then copy it to your SD.
