arriving late

is there a way to start scoring a game in the middle of a game?

like if you come to the game in the bottom of the 3rd or any other inning?

The only way I can think of is to look at someone's else's score sheet and catch up. You can just score the game but the game would be incomplete and the 4th inning would be your first inning.
