CSS Hooks for HTML Output

Post by cary.reams » Sat Mar 13, 2010 10:20 am

Build the HTML report with CSS, instead of hard-coded values - or do both (current for email, CSS version as an attachment that can be placed on a web site).
Allow the user community to contribute CSS files (ala csszengarden) that customize the output.
The default green doesn't work real well for all web sites.
Right now, I'm using a ruby script to slurp the html file and replace your color scheme with ours. I'd love to have the ability to apply different css files for each of our varsity, jv, and freshman squads.

Great product. Good luck going forward.

Unfortunately CSS does not work well with all email viewers. The team websites make use of CSS, but the emails can not in order to provide maximum compatibility.

We may add an attached version using CSS in a future release.

Thank you.

As stated elsewhere, I would vote YES for an attached CSS HTML version. I get the need for non-CSS in email but the steps I have to go through to get the embeded HTML onto my website is cumbersome to say the least.

YES to attached CSS HTML file.

I'd like to third this idea. I'm a web designer on the side and would love to style up my team's website. The "boxie" limitations are, hmm...pleasantly stated, aesthetically challenged. I would love to throw on a CSS that FTM provides selectors for to make the site come alive.

Yes, I could create a site through my own host and embed the team information into it, but I would rather not go through the hassle.

So FTM, is there any thought as to implementing this idea?

Cheer,
Jason
