Can the orientation be changed?

Post by baseballmom1000 » Mon Jan 24, 2011 1:46 pm

Most apps on the iPad can be portrait or landscape, but I can not get iScore to turn to landscape. Is this not a feature?

We do not currently support Landscape mode. An update will be out this spring that does include rotating to Landscape mode.

I think a landscape screen would be a very welcome addition. Preferably with a scoresheet view included in the main screen. Personally I'd much rather see the scoresheet than the pitch location, maybe just a few columns of the scoresheet that are 'pannable' from left to right in place of the pitch location box.

We submitted an update to Apple last week that includes Landscape support. The scoresheet is always one tap away.

The idea of being able to optionally select pitch location or part of the score book on that lower right quadrant of the iPad screen is a wonderfulidea.

Not sure where it would be on a priority list, but a great idea to put on the list for future consideration. It seems alot of youth ball is not yet scoring pitch location and type, that would be a neat reuse of screen real estate.

Again, not advocating as a rush or high priority, but a very creative idea!

I second that request with having the score book on page 1. I personally can not see how one person can score the game and track pitch location, speed type etc. I see it working best with two people scoring, once sitting behind home plate only scoring pitches, and then merging the data after the game, if that is even possible. There must be some very talented scorers out there that can do it all, but not me!

The new update supports the landscape and it's wonderful!
