Export Failing from Android

Post by AaronStanford » Tue Feb 15, 2011 10:45 pm

I imported a number of games from my iTouch Admin website to my Android Admin Website. Then when I export the data from my Android(Samsung Epic 4G-Sprint) the export fails. Any suggestions?

Looks like I solved my issue. It was either that I had incomplete games or it was failing because my internet connection was not good. I deleted all the incomplete games then I connected via wifi and it exported fine.

it should not have been incomplete games related.

You can export incomplete games (aka rain delays and suspended games)

most likely your internet connection.

There was a past issue that an upload would not complete if the device went to sleep during exchange. I believe it was resolved for the apple versions, it may be a recurring issue for the android. Did your device go to sleep during upload?

Yes, it went to sleep. So I logged into my WiFi and extended the sleep and that worked.

Thank you one and all!

Nice catch... we will see about preventing sleep during export on Android in the same way we did for iPhone. Only downside is it is another "permission" we need to request, and users are turned off when applications have a large number of permissions that an app requires.
