Android issue

I input games for my entire season on my android. After that I could not edit indvidual player data, it gave me a forced stop. I uninstalled and reinstalled now I cant change my password on the device but still can access the data base with my old password. I think I have really screwed this up. Can I delete the old data base and start from scratch with a new download or is there a better solution?
